Mr. Rohit Vadhwana, Ambassador
Mr. Rohit Vadhwana assumed the charge of Ambassador to the Plurinational State of Bolivia on 19th March 2025. He is the first resident Ambassador of India in the country.
He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2010 and has held diplomatic positions in Embassy of India in Tehran as Third/Second Secretary, High Commission of India in London as First Secretary, and High Commission of India in Nairobi as Deputy High Commissioner and Deputy Permanent Representative to UNEP & UN-Habitat. He has also served in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi as the Under Secretary in the Gulf Division.
Mr Vadhwana has a bachelors degree in Law and Masters in Political Science. He is fluent in Gujarati, Hindi, English and Persian.
He writes for hobby and has published a novel in Gujarati, and a number of articles and short stories in Gujarati and English both. He is married to Ms. Femida Shaikh.
